Aardman Animations has done it again, proving that nobody does visual comedy and handcrafted stop-motion quite like them. Just in time for the spooky season, Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom brings our favorite flock back to the big screen for a hilarious, monster-movie-skewering escapade. When a well-intentioned science experiment by Shaun accidentally turns the Farmer into a shaggy, Bigfoot-style cryptid right before Halloween, the farm descends into absolute, chaotic mayhem while Bitzer and the gang try to fix the mess before local authorities lock down the woods.

With her major hosting gig on Saturday Night Live UK, Amelia is officially cementing her transition from digital-native creator to mainstream television staple. But her ascent wasn't accidental—it was built on a very specific foundation that leaves many cultural critics asking tough questions about how digital creators leverage subcultures to build their empires.

The holy grail of unmade passion projects has finally materialized, and it looks like nothing else in modern animation. Skydance Animation and Netflix just dropped the official trailer for Ray Gunn, and director Brad Bird (The Incredibles, The Iron Giant, Ratatouille) is officially back in top form. Set in "Metropia"—a sprawling, gargantuan city envisioned through the retro-futuristic lens of a 1939 sci-fi illustrator—the film follows Raymond Gunn (Sam Rockwell), the world’s last human private eye, as he gets tangled up in a dangerous web of murder, aliens, and a high-stakes conspiracy tied to multimedia superstar Venus Nova (Scarlett Johansson).

The absolute greatest live-action anime adaptation of the '90s is finally getting the physical media release it has deserved for decades. Independent boutique label Toy Robot Video has officially unleashed a brand-new, stacked Blu-Ray edition of The Guyver 2: Dark Hero (1994). Directed by Steve Wang and starring David Hayter as Sean Barker, this legendary cult classic completely ditched the campy tone of its predecessor for a darker, bloodier, practical-effects-heavy sci-fi martial arts masterclass that still puts modern CGI superhero films to shame.

The high-school kid days are officially gone, and Peter Parker is living the loneliest reality in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, Spider-Man: Brand New Day picks up four years after the devastating memory-wiping spell of No Way Home, presenting a fully street-level, anonymous web-slinger whose dedication to the mask has begun to warp his body, mind, and soul. Grossing over $2.4 billion at the global box office, this Phase 6 blockbuster has completely dominated the late-summer box office.

Forget gritty realism—Paramount just threw the rulebook out the window and leaned straight into glorious, unadulterated arcade chaos. The global press tour just dropped a massive new trailer for the upcoming live-action Street Fighter movie, hitting theaters on October 16, 2026. Directed by Kitao Sakurai, the film proudly embraces the wild, campy, and larger-than-life sci-fi roots of Capcom’s legendary franchise rather than trying to ground it in boring, gritty realism.

The multiverse is bleeding out, and there is a new king on the throne. Marvel Studios has officially unleashed the groundbreaking first trailer for Avengers: Doomsday (2027), setting the stage for the most massive cinematic event since Endgame. Directed by returning franchise masterminds Joe and Anthony Russo, the trailer wastes no time establishing a world in total chaos as reality-shattering incursions threaten to wipe out the remaining pillars of the MCU.

The legend returns, closer to the original manga than ever before. Science SARU’s 2026 adaptation of Ghost in the Shell is officially streaming on Prime Video, and it’s shaking up the franchise by returning to its roots. Abandoning the stoic, hyper-philosophical tone established by the 1995 film and Stand Alone Complex, this series finally embraces the "gloriously goofy" character dynamics, slapstick humor, and expressive kineticism of Masamune Shirow’s 1989 manga.
