💚We are calling on all our wonderful contributors to help us document the story of the Grenfell Memorial Quilt.

We are currently gathering information for our permanent archives, ensuring every stitcher’s story is officially recorded as part of this important legacy. This will also support academic research for a paper being written by Keren (for the Quilters’ Guild), to be presented at the 10th anniversary.

Here's another of the Profanities for Humanity Panels all pinned and ready for some stitching at our drop in session on Sunday 23rd March here in Whitstable at Brucewilliamsart studio/ gallery

The amazing hankies you sent in for our contribution to the Grenfell Memorial Quilt look wonderful. Come along between 12 and 3pm next Sunday to join us with some simple stitching to anchor these hankies to the backing fabric.

There will be other sessions to add some embellishment, but for now, nothing fancy, so don't worry about any lack of skills of such bo****ks.

That's Sunday 23rd March noon to 3pm

given that there will be everyone's precious stitching all over the place, we ask that you support one of the town's many lovely coffee shops or boozers before or after dropping in to stitch, and that we keep the work area dry!

Please take a look at this survey for Grenfell Memorial Quilt :
We're collecting data to apply for funding from the arts Council lottery fund.
Sewing for Justice would like create an installation to exhibit the quilts for the 10th Yr Anniversary remembrance day on the 14th June 2027.
