From Oct 23–25, we join COLORS x Studios at Union de la Jeunesse Internationale for TONES of Paris, three days of culture, sound, and style.

A story of transformation and craftsmanship and vintage pieces sourced across Africa, reworked and reimagined with local artisans, brought to Paris as one-of-a-kind works of wearable art.

The Sartorial Spirit of Punk Tailors exhibit explores the tension between tradition and rebellion through the lens of African craftsmanship and British tailoring history. Art Comes First pays tribute to their parents, upbringing, and the rituals of discipline passed down through generations channelled into what they call “Punk Tailoring”: a philosophy of precision and defiance, where garments are built with care, then deconstructed to be rebuilt. From Savile Row’s legacy to the streets of the diaspora, the project honours timeless technique while breaking the mold of conventional dress. The installation will unfold across two rooms, each designed to immerse viewers in a different dimension of the theme.

A limited collaborative capsule with 1-54 will accompany the presentation, featuring wearable pieces that reflect the narrative.

We’re proud to present ACF Black Ivy Aesthetics during NYFW: our first official presentation since relocating to New York.

Inspired by the mid-century Black Ivy movement when Miles Davis, James Baldwin & others redefined Ivy League style as an act of pride and rebellion this capsule merges Savile Row tailoring with varsity pieces, cardigans, and Corpcore stripes, all finished with bespoke patches and trims crafted with Avery Dennison.

Art & Fashion: Field of Alliances

The annual activation of the permanent store Black Super Market ; the brainchild of Marchenoir Lome Paris and Art Comes First took shape at Fondation Donwahi.

The project was conceived as both a store and cultural gallery, transforming fashion into a living dialogue with contemporary art.

Alongside this activation, the exhibition Art & Fashion: Field of Alliances designed and curated by Art Comes First and Illa Donwahi — opened on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Fondation Donwahi.

The exhibition presented original works by Jems Koko Bi, Aliou Diack, Sadikou Oukpedjo, Ibrahim Ballo, Souleymane Konaté, Hako Hankson, Josué Comoé, Gauz’, and the late Frank F***y (RIP).

coastal spirit rises through militant cuts and Mobutu hats.
Echoes of the Abacost suit (à bas le costume) aka Presidential suit, the collarless symbol of post-colonial poise resonate through tailoring where elegance is resistance and style becomes a political act.
This is Saint Afrique, stitched with power and spirit in every thread.
