I was told that John Peel said this, but I didn’t hear it myself – I came across the reference below today, what an honour!

Peel was a fan of much of the 60's Merseybeat music scene and the Kaisers were heavily influenced by that. He seemed to have first played the Kaisers in January 1995 and mentioned on his 10 February 1995 show, that his favourite current record is the Kaisers' 'She's Gonna Two Time'.

The Kaisers were a Scottish beat band between 1992 and 2002 formed in Edinburgh, Scotland. The band recorded several albums and singles under a number of record labels, including No-Hit Records, Bedrock Records, Wild Wild Records and Get Hip Records. What a wonderful time we had in Japan! We certainly didn't expect such a fantastic reception and we'd like to thank each and every one of you for coming to the shows and for making us feel so very welcome - we can't wait to see you all again. Special thanks to our beat brothers the Neatbeats and everyone at the Top Beat Club for all the fun, friendship and hospitality. As if the tour wasn't enough fun, we even got to record two tracks at Grand-Frog Studio - what a place! Watch out for a very special 45.
