Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has jumped up two spots and has been seeing increased sales numbers for the past 3 weeks. Meanwhile, Super Mario Odyssey has gotten extra boost from it getting bundled with the Nintendo Switch, seeing an increase of 15% in its sales, taking it from 10th to 5th. Then there’s New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe, busting into the top 10 after seeing a 23% rise in sales, presumably because its name is so close to the movie.

Game Pass has changed the landscape in terms of what it means to be a success. We used to be able to judge a game’s success purely on its sales numbers and profit, but now it’s far murkier than that. In documents made available through the ongoing attempted acquisition of Activision-Blizzard by Microsoft, it was confirmed by Microsoft that Game Pass does cannibalize sales, though the exact percentage was redacted.

Yes, the reviews have not been kind to Redfall and neither have the players. Opencritic currently lists the game at a Weak score of 60. Heavy hitter Gamespot says, “Arkane takes a stab at infusing the genre du jour with its signature style, but the end results are a bloody mess.” before giving it a meagre 4 out of 10.
