I love old Arabic history, fascinated with the history of the original Shepheard's hotel Cairo, in 2021 as the hotel burnt down in 1952 and in celebration of it's glamorous history, I decided to recreate the hotel with it's lush beautiful gardens and surrounding palm trees from historic news clips and imaginary people of the era.

The painting is one of a pair and owned privately by a client in Luxor.
