In the 00s, safe to say Mr Sango brought swag to bartending. What a period in my life. Thoroughly enjoyed it. 😎 . Although in today's economy I don't know if owning a bar is still a dream of mine, who knows. ✨. These days I make people around me happy by dropping absolute bangers.

Cameroon-born Mr Masango, better known as Edi, said: “This has come a surprise. It is quite an honour to have been chosen.

“I have worked in bars in Reading for five years and I cannot see myself doing anything else. My ultimate dream is to one day have my own bar.

“It’s a job you can do while having fun. I have made most of my friends over the bar and even people you don’t know recognise you everywhere you go.

Many people can pour a pint but not many have what it takes to be a good barman and interact with customers and make them feel good so they come back.
Brian said: “I have known Edi for almost four years and he is always a pleasure. When you see him around people they are always happy.

“When you go to a bar, you want someone who is friendly and who takes an interest and looks after you, and Edi does all of that.”

Brian's perfect night out would also include visits to The Hobgoblin in Broad Street, a gig at Plug ‘n’ Play Studios in Milford Road before partying at Bar Mango in Hosier Street.
