From 11- 14 October, discover the latest rug collections from Lilla Rugs, Riviere Rugs and Knots Rugs, alongside exhibitors including C O B A N R U G S , Surya, Northwest 35 - Luxurious, Sustainable, Handmade Rugs and Loomah Bespoke Carpets & Rugs. The event will also feature its Design Talk programme and Making Spaces area, with two textile specialists taking part this year.

In her ‚Reservoir‘ exhibition at the Henry Moore Institute in Leeds, England, artist Sagarika Sundaram explores sculptural possibilities of wool and felt in monumental, immersive artworks like the seven metre high work ‚Blue Mountain‘ (2026) and Dancer (2026), which stretches from floor to ceiling. Sundaram uses repeat dyeing, layering, and compressing to transform wool into dynamic forms investigate material, colour and scale.

For nearly twenty years, Kristie Arias has explored the possibilities of Peruvian textiles, moving between art, design, artisanal traditions and contemporary production. Now, her work is taking on new dimensions, with geological strata, sediment and erosion informing textiles that extend beyond the wall and into sculpture.
 
From her Paisaje Nodal exhibition at Museo Amano to textile installations at Lima’s new international airport, her friend Marcella Echavarria discovers how Kristie brings together cultural memory, material experimentation and the evolving relationship between hand and machine.

COVER Connect New York 2026: Another hit success  🗽
 
That’s a wrap on three days at COVER Connect New York, where 45 international rug brands brought an exciting mix of designs, techniques and styles to The Altman Building and Metropolitan Pavilion.
 
Among the highlights were Lapchi’s Leh design, Wendy Morrison’s silk Nomad’s Garden for exhibitors Turquoise Mountain, Art de Vivre’s Floralis Caladium by Campana Studio and Olker’s playful rug within a rug. Warm palettes also proved popular, with rich brown and cream shades featuring across a number of best sellers.
 
And this year saw the launch of our Designer Rugs Edit, with designers and visitors selecting their favourite rugs from the show. Head to our Instagram feed to discover the six pieces chosen by New York-based interior designer Tara McCcauley, alongside more of the show’s standout selections.
