Centre Stage returns to Richmond in one month!

Centre Stage is a free multi-arts festival, reclaiming George Street and Whittaker Avenue as a platform for creativity, community and contemporary culture.

This year the event incorporates the Richmond Myths programme curated by , adding a layer of mythical imagination and discovery across the whole weekend and encouraging audiences to experience familiar places in entirely new ways.

Across the weekend of 17–19 July, Richmond town centre comes alive with live performances. On Saturday (18th), the streets become a stage, canvas and playground filled with music, theatre, food, art and joyful public participation.

Explore creative activities for children and young people, discover independent makers and street food, take part in carnival workshops and processions, experience pop-up performances, and help reimagine what a town centre can be when culture, community and creativity take centre stage.

Join us tomorrow for our brand-new, FREE, multi-arts festival, reclaiming George Street and Whittaker Square for a day of creativity, community and contemporary culture.

★ Opening Procession (11:00–11:30am)
Kick off the day with a high-energy parade of music, dance, and costume led by youth collective . Catch them again with further performances at 1:15pm and 2:45pm.

★ Theatre presents The Mad Hatter's Tea Party
Enjoy playful promenade-style performances popping up along George Street throughout the day, with shows at 12:00pm, 1:45pm, 3:30pm, and 5:00pm.

Emerge East returns to for its 4th year on Saturday 6th September!

This uplifting, FREE family festival celebrates community, local talent, creativity and nature in one of ’s newest neighbourhoods.

This year, Emerge East takes over with a jam-packed programme featuring the return of the Wild Riverside Sauna, flavours from ’s Home Cooks, hands-on creative workshops, an interactive art installation by , ’s Sandscape, an independent local Makers’ Market, and guided walks exploring riverside ecology and family workshops inspired by nature.

Plus, the brand new Block Party Stage, setting the soundtrack for the day, with an epic lineup of local talent and DJs - carefully curated in collaboration with .

All this and more — this is a weekend not to miss!
