This might be controversial…
…but I actually think the people LOVING the Michael movie the most are the more casual MJ fans 👀
Because once you know all the deeper context, history and details… the movie starts feeling a lot more superficial.
Still entertaining though 🤷‍♂️

I really liked that Devil Wears Prada 2 avoided all the lazy “Gen Z are entitled” jokes.

They modernised the workplace dynamic without losing what made the original entertaining.

People are weirdly angry that Andy has a boyfriend in The Devil Wears Prada 2… but I actually think the movie handled it really well.

The romance never overtakes the Miranda/Runway storyline, it develops Andy’s character, and honestly… movies like this have ALWAYS used relationships to reflect ambition and identity.

Some of the backlash feels a little unfair to me 👀

The Devil Wears Prada never gives you an easy answer.

Andy changes throughout the film… but is that actually a bad thing?

One of the reasons the ending works so well is because it leaves room for interpretation. If she stayed, maybe Nate was right. But by leaving, she proves she still knows who she is.

I’m just SO happy Devil Wears Prada 2 is actually good 😭

Making a sequel to a beloved standalone movie is incredibly difficult… which is why most fail.

But when it works? It’s such a great feeling because you get more time with something you already love.

And honestly… I already know I’m gonna rewatch this one a lot. 🎬
