You’re all invited 🩷🎨✨

I’m so looking forward to exhibiting my work in just two weekends’ time at the Emsworth Arts Trail 🌊🏡

25th & 26th April and 2nd, 3rd & 4th May
12 Creek End, Emsworth, PO10 7EX
10am–5pm ⏰

If you’ve never been before, the Emsworth Arts Trail is a wonderful open studios event in the beautiful South Coast town of Emsworth 🌸🌊 Over 100 artists will be opening their doors, and with all the venues within walking distance, it’s such a lovely way to spend the day exploring and discovering work from talented painters, ceramicists, woodworkers, sculptors and jewellers 🎨🏺🪵💍

I’ll be showing my coastal and sailing-inspired paintings, along with prints and smaller works ⚓️🌿🖼️ and I’d absolutely love to see you there 😊💫

Hope you can make it! 🩷

A little overview of March so far 🩷

This was the month my Gennakers in the Wind series sold out in just 4 minutes ❤️ honestly, I’m still so grateful. I also launched the Gennakers in the Wind limited edition prints 🥳

I’ve also been super busy with a couple of BIG commissions, which have taken up a lot of my brain capacity, but I’ve really been enjoying the challenge of working on these larger pieces. And in between it all, I’ve been creating more work for a release coming this May.

🎨I’m working on a few new scenes at the moment, and this piece I painted last week is inspired by one of my favourite walks around Easthead ☀️a beautiful stretch of beach where we used to sail to as kids in Chichester Harbour on the South Coast of England.

I wanted to capture the estuary landscape as it reveals itself at low tide, giving space to the marshland in the foreground.

The colour palette of this first edition is wonderfully punchy. I especially loved painting the vibrant greens of the marshes.

I’ll be spending the next couple of months creating, and this piece will be one of the works released in May.•

Some artworks that have found their new homes over the past few weeks 🤗🩷

It’s now been eight weeks since I returned from sailing across the Atlantic, and it’s been busy but brilliant. I’ve loved getting back into the flow of creating and have had so much energy in the studio after being away 🌊🎨

I’ve also done my first artwork releases here on Instagram, and they were so wonderfully received. The second release sold out in just four minutes, which honestly still feels a little surreal. I can’t thank you enough. Every piece of art you buy, every message, and every time you share my work helps make this dream of mine possible.

I even hosted my first ever giveaway as a little thank you to you all ✨

So truly… thank you 🤍

I’m now busy working on some new scenes for exhibitions I have coming up at the end of April and May, and I can’t wait to start sharing more of those with you soon. They are a mix of sailing scenes and hopefully a few florals and a combination of the two.

And they’re live eeeek🥳

I’m so happy that everyone who missed out on the original now has the chance to get their hands on one🩷 Thank you so much for all your lovely messages and orders — it really is such a pinch-me moment.

Each print is hand-initialled and numbered on the front by me, with the title, edition number, full signature, and certificate of authenticity included.

This print is part of a limited edition series of 50 in each size, with two sizes available.

They are printed using beautiful giclée printing for a premium finish and archival quality, using pigment-based inks on Innova Soft Textured White 315gsm paper — a subtly textured, acid-free, museum-grade paper that holds such gorgeous detail, depth, and colour.

Details from my recent commission ‘Memories Walking Round The Millpond’ 🌊🏠🎨

➡️Scroll to the end to see some more behind the scenes 🤗

I really enjoyed creating this piece. Not only because it captures one of my favourite scenes in Emsworth, but also because the brief was beautifully open.

The painting is inspired by much-loved memories of time spent in Emsworth. Walking along the Millpond wall with family, crabbing off the jetty, and teaching their children to sail. It’s these personal moments that give the landscape an extra layer of meaning and magic.

Commissions like this are always special because they’re about atmosphere as much as place. Interpreting movement, landscape and personal connection allows the artwork to become something layered and meaningful rather than simply representational 🎨

I am currently focusing on creating a new body of work for my Open Studios exhibition at the end of April and early May🗓️. So will be reopening my commissions in October this year so dm me if you would like to find out more and maybe reserve a spot ✨

I’m currently in the early stages of a few new pieces, which means lots of sketching and playing with compositions ✏️

Once I find a scene that feels right and I get that little spark of excitement that it’s going to work and flow, then I start building in the details. That’s the stage where the piece really begins to come alive.

This drawing is of one of my favourite harbours on the south coast of England, Emsworth Harbour. It was a commission I completed last year and remains a place I love returning to in my work 🌊

A little glimpse into the beginning stages of how my pieces start. I am looking forward to sharing the final piece with you this week 🧡

Available and releasing tomorrow ⭐️

These works are created using a family of screen print methods, which allows me to layer paint while keeping that clean, crisp finish I love.

Each piece is connected through the same hand-drawn line drawing, which I expose onto the screen ready for printing. While they all share this detailed line work, the colour is entirely hand painted through the screen mesh.

This process allows me to be expressive with colour and movement while still maintaining structure. It’s a technique called mono screen printing, meaning I only get one chance to create each layer. Once I’ve built up the colours and I’m happy with the composition, I then screen print the sky and the line drawing over the top, bringing the whole scene together and giving definition to the rhythm and energy of the scene🌊

Each design is produced in up to five variable editions. Every edition explores a different colour palette, inspired by shifting seasons, weather and mood. Although they share the same screen printed line drawing, each one feels completely different, making every piece unique and handmade 💙

Launching tomorrow at 3pm GMT on my website 🩷

Details from my latest piece, inspired by sails and those brilliant colour combinations you see when you’re racing 🌊✨

As you probably know by now, sailing is such a big part of my life and it naturally finds its way into my work. I love watching how boats move through the water, the rhythm of a start line, and the way yachts quietly compete for position without saying a word ⛵️

This scene always takes me back to racing in the Solent during Cowes Week. The colour of the gennakers against the sky, the shifting light, the sense of movement. It’s busy but calm at the same time, which I think is what I’m always trying to capture.

This is the third edition in my ‘Gennaker’s in the Wind’ series 💙 I’ll be finishing the next two next week and I’m really looking forward to sharing them with you.•
