[Catch Mola Mongombe - Roi Soleil Performing Live At The Starfish Diversity Festival]

Mola Mongombe, born Timothy Mongombe Ewumbue on September 21st in Bokwai village, Buea, is a Cameroonian singer, songwriter, bassist, guitarist, and traditional percussionist. He developed a passion for music early in life, influenced by his grandmother's involvement in the church choir. This early exposure led him to participate in traditional music groups, earning him the nickname "Mokumba," meaning drummer.

During his secondary education at G.S.S Buea Rural Bokova, Mongombe formed an acapella group called "The Heart Healers," with whom he recorded an album. He later joined the Landiko Group, specializing in traditional heat songs. After obtaining a B.A. in Law from the University of Buea in 2017, he chose to pursue a full-time music career.

In 2018, Mongombe released his debut 10-track album, "Motimbeli," which showcased his unique blend of traditional rhythms and jazz, a style he refers to as Njoku jazz. This fusion has allowed him to share the stage with prominent artists such as Henri Dikonge, Herve Nguebo, and Etienne Mbappe. His music, performed in Mokpe, French, Pidgin, and English, conveys messages of love and hope.

Mongombe, who has albinism, uses his platform to address the challenges faced by individuals with the condition in Cameroon. He is also a music producer, promoter, pianist, and music teacher, dedicated to promoting the rich musical heritage of the Bakweri people through Njoku jazz.

In recognition of his contributions to traditional music, Mongombe was awarded Best Traditional Artist at the Muzikol Music Awards in 2020.

As of October 2023, Mongombe expanded his international presence by performing in the United States, including a concert in Washington, D.C.

Mongombe's dedication to preserving and innovating within Cameroon's musical traditions continues to inspire audiences both locally and internationally.

[Catch Mic Monsta Official Live At The Starfish Diversity Festival]

Mic Monsta, born Molua Alous Mosima on February 6, in Kumba, Cameroon, is a prominent hip-hop artist celebrated for his compelling lyrics and dynamic performances.

He began rapping at 16 and recorded his first track, "I No Get Chorus," during high school. The song gained significant attention in Kumba and the Southwest region, earning him local radio play.

In 2014, Mic Monsta's remix of Jovi's "Bwam" sparked controversy but ultimately boosted his popularity. Jovi later acknowledged his talent, referring to him as the future of Cameroonian rap.

His debut single, "Fear," released in 2016, showcased his lyrical prowess. Subsequent albums include "Kwata Diary" (2018), "Vibes Clinic" (2020), and "The Stars Are Watching" (2022).

Mic Monsta's music addresses social issues like corruption and youth struggles in Cameroon. His energetic stage presence has made him a sought-after performer, sharing stages with international acts such as Davido and J. Cole.

He has collaborated with artists like Salatiel, Mr. Leo, and Jovi, and worked with renowned producers, further enhancing his sound and versatility.
