🚨 LONDON ARTISTS, WANT TO PLAY A LIVE SHOW WITHOUT PAY-TO-PLAY?

Applications are open for SRP Sessions: The Road to Summer 2026/27, a series of grassroots music showcases at Bread & Roses in Clapham.

Scotty Rockstar Presents is looking for independent artists with strong original music, great live performances and the ability to connect with a real audience.

Each showcase features three hand-selected acts performing 30-minute sets, with a fully equipped stage and sound engineer provided.

🚨 YOUNG MUSICIANS & CREATIVES, YOU COULD GET UP TO £3,000 FOR YOUR NEXT PROJECT.

Applications are open for the latest round of Youth Music’s NextGen Fund, offering grants of up to £3,000 to help early stage musicians and music adjacent creatives develop or launch a new music project.

The funding is designed to help young creatives invest in themselves, develop their skills and make their ideas happen.

You may be eligible if you:

🎵 Are aged 18 to 25, or up to 30 if you identify as d/Deaf, Disabled or Neurodivergent
🎵 Are at an early stage in your career
🎵 Have never received funding before
🎵 Face significant barriers to developing your career or making your ideas happen

💰 Funding: Up to £3,000

🚨 INDEPENDENT ARTISTS, £20,000 COULD BE PUT BEHIND YOUR MUSIC IN 2027.

Applications are now open for the Music Gateway Breakout Artist Programme, giving one independent artist from the UK or Ireland access to a £20,000 funding pool to support their career throughout 2027.

The funding can be used across areas including PR, influencer marketing, playlisting, social advertising and YouTube.

The winning artist will also receive guidance from Music Gateway’s in house team, helping them plan their releases and marketing activity throughout the year.

More prizes and industry judges are also set to be announced.

Last year, more than 600 artists applied, with Niki Kini eventually being named Breakout Artist for 2026. Since winning, she has received industry mentoring, appeared in DIY magazine, released her debut EP, played a headline show and secured a support tour.

Some of the best parts of a studio session happen when everyone’s just sitting around the desk, listening and talking about the music. 🎧

You might be figuring out the plan at the start of the day, going through a mix together or trying to work out why something doesn’t quite feel right yet. Then eventually you play it back and get that moment where everyone in the room knows it’s working. 🎶

That relationship with your engineer is really important to us. You should feel comfortable sharing your ideas, changing your mind and saying what you actually think. It’s your music, and we’re there to help you make it sound the way you want it to.

🚨 SONGWRITERS & PRODUCERS, YOU COULD GET UP TO £10,000 TO DEVELOP YOUR CAREER.

Applications are open for PRS Foundation’s Hitmaker Fund, created specifically to support songwriters and producers working behind the scenes in popular music.

Successful applicants can receive £5,000 to £10,000 towards developing their careers and their songwriting or production.

The fund was created because songwriters and producers are at the heart of the music industry, but often have fewer funding opportunities than performing artists. It aims to support talented writers and producers at crucial stages in their careers.
