Tonight at Jamboree, The Cable Street Rag Band play their dreamy repertoire of ragtime, blues, song-book foxtrots, swing, waltzes, beguines, tangos and polkas - all dated from the 1850s to the 1940s.

And before the concert, running from 7 to 8pm, Lesta Woo presents her swing dance class, tonight entering into the world of rare swing dances with a heel s**g class! This is a drop-in, open level class with no prior experience required! Just turn up, put £7 in the hat, and have a go!

Come visit us at Jamboree, the home of live music and performance art from all around the world in Central London!

From tonight (Wednesday's) show with the wonderful Lunatraktors re-imagining Anglo-Celtic traditionals through a love of trip-hop, flamenco and post-punk, to Friday night's wild swirl of foot-stomping klezmer and Balkan dance grooves with She'koyokh (pictured); Saturday's metaphorical musical journey through the Carpathians into the mysterious land of Kalbania with Kalbanik's Orchestra to a Sunday night of Flamenco with Lourdes Fernandez and her band joined by guest dancer Cristina San Gregorio (Madrid), the next few days in our King's Cross haven will shimmer with sounds and movement to behold.

Also look out for our Saturday afternoon of sweet Cajun music and dance, featuring the Joli Blon Cajun Band, a special Monday night with Rage Against the Tagine blending contemporary jazz with the musical traditions of North Africa, the Middle East and the Mediterranean, as well as many other day and night-time events brimming with musical joys from New Orleans to the Celtic Isles.

Proudly DIY, the band's live percussion and vocals debut ‘This Is Broken Folk’ made #9 in MOJO’s Top Ten Folk Albums of 2019; while second album The Missing Star reached #2 in 2021.
