As Stranger Things reached its final chapter, it was great to collaborate on this striking brand activation at London Waterloo Station - transforming the concourse into a portal to Hawkins for the festive season.
The challenge was to reimagine a familiar Christmas symbol through the lens of Stranger Things’ distinctive universe. The result is a glowing installation built from vintage TVs, neon lights, and series-inspired props, celebrating both nostalgia and the show’s '80s pop-culture legacy.
In the early stages, the 2D visualisation concept was required to test scale, impact, and audience flow through illustration. These visuals helped the creative and production teams preview how the piece would inhabit the vast space of Waterloo’s departures hall before any physical build began.
It’s always rewarding to see how a 2D concept sketch becomes a full-scale, real-world experience that connects storytelling, design, and emotion in equal measure.
