Indomitus Primaris, Jade Fists, Judiciar. . Note, I spent as much time building the Ltd. Ed. Indomitus set, as I did swapping heads. . The Judiciar or Judicar is an absolutely badass unit for the Primaris Space Marines who is judge, jury and executioner for the entire Adeptus Astartes. They are like the Judge Dredd of Space Marines and are charged with keeping Space Marines in line and carry out the will of their Chapter Masters; so they are akin to Chaplains, but they make Chaplains look like pushovers. Indeed, they take ceremonial vows of silence so they can become creepy edgelords in comparison to the Chaplains' bombastic firebrands (Although in the novel Indomitus, the Judicar is described as a Chaplain in training, and is anything but silent.) . The Judiciar is armed with an Executioner Blade specially designed for lopping off heads – and there’s a lot of ‘judicating’ to be done. Notably GW did not make these up, Executioner's swords were a thing that existed, hence why it lacks a sharpened tip: its only job is to slice people's heads off. . The timeglass looking device they're holding in their left hand has been revealed to be a form of esoteric wargear. It's called the tempormortis and like the name suggests it is apparently able to MANIPULATE TIME! How? Well, crunchwise it forces a specific enemy unit to fight last in combat (and likely messes with rules that demand enemies go first). . Indomitus Primaris Assault Intercessors (Kitbashed with Jump Packs and Grav Chutes) . 9E mixes things up by introducing Assault Intercessor squads, the result of Bobby G cribbing (more) notes from the Legion days. The basic troops get to replace their Bolt Rifles with Chainswords, and their bolt pistols with the Heavy Bolt Pistols used by Reivers (albeit closer to the classic Boltgun in appearance). The sarge can take the same options as a regular Intercessor sergeant (e.g. hand flamer, power weapons) in addition to a Plasma Pistol and Thunder Hammer. But GeeDubs needs to hurrry up and FAQ Jump Packs onto them to make them a competittive choice, for me anyway, as i can just take Vanguard Vets instead who can drop in instead of slugging it up the board. . "So in summation, what you have before you is a troop transport that can't carry troops, a skimmer that's too heavy to clear any terrain worth mentioning... a quasi-tank with less armour than a Land Speeder but with enough firepower to take out half of Macragge City?" – Adept Fanning, on reviewing the STC design notes of the Repulsor Tank. A lightly armoured transport that traded most of its troop capacity and armour for an absurd amount of guns to negate its low survivability. This thing really is the M2 Bradley of the 42nd millennium. The Repulsor, aka the Landraiderspeeder, aka the Landspeeder 2: Electric Boogaloo, aka the Chadmarine Wave Serpent, is another brainchild of Magos Belisarius Cawl (and presumably his huge supply of drugs, seeing as it looks like the product of a one night stand between a GI Joe vehicle and a Star Wars hovertank). For a long time it was the only vehicle capable of carrying our Chadmarines. Yes, not even Land Raiders and Mastodons were capable of carrying these guys ...for some reason. The old-school Space Marine vehicles just weren't hip enough with the NuMarines. The Repulsor, though clearly derived from the same Standard Template Construct patterns as other vehicles of the Adeptus Astartes, is the first armoured vehicle deployed by the Imperium of Man to make use of anti-gravitic technology since the days of the Horus Heresy in the early 31st Millennium.
