There’s a common assumption that choral singing is one of the most accessible forms of music-making — and in many ways, it is. But access to meaningful musical experiences isn’t always equal.
Young women make up the majority of singers in choirs, yet opportunities to sing in ambitious, high-quality ensembles — particularly outside of traditional pathways — can still be limited.
That’s part of the thinking behind the Liverpool Singers Youth Ensemble (LSYE).
We’re creating a space where young female voices are not just included, but taken seriously — where singers can develop musically, build confidence, and feel part of something with real artistic purpose.
If you’re curious about what that might feel like, we’re inviting you to our Come and Sing afternoon — a relaxed, welcoming session for prospective singers.
