Neon Highway

Neon Highway Neon Highway was set up in 2002. It is issued 2 times a year and can be subscribed to via the editor, Alice Lenkiewicz.

The magazine's main purpose is to publish more alternative work by artists and poets, particularly the visionary, experimental, pulp and sci fi. From time to time we run poetry events within the city of Liverpool. Venues change according to requirements throughout the year.

This is my second poem, written quickly yesterday morning. I did ponder and edit it for a while, a good mental exercise but I will write more frequently from now on. Look forward to reading some of your works.

Promises

reflect an angel
standing perfectly still

she plays her golden melody
with my memory

same old story
as they glide past
their humbug shadows
ungrateful spirits

the sun melting to red
towards medieval eyes
iron hot branded pledge
abandoned

leaving no sign
on my skin as only
my aged skin
cancels out my need

for a sign

Hope everyone had a good Christmas. Mine was quite relaxing this year, maybe because my children are growing up and it is less manic. I've started writing some poems. I'll post them on here. Also feel free to post your poems on the wall here. This group belongs to you all. Anyway, all best wishes and Happy New Year!
