I’m not just a one trick donkey, I can make these things to. I’m starting off my functional wood fired range nice and easy with some beakers. They are made from 300g of clay, I’m throwing them to 15cm tall by 9.5cm wide at the top. Up next cups and mugs. Exciting stuff…

This is my first pit firing in over a year and are here to help prevent me breathing in these chemicals and going to an early grave. They’ve sent me out their M Pro FFP3 rated masks so I know I’m getting the best protection. I also think I look pretty cool, don’t you?

I’ve just built a wood kiln 🫢 I’m still going to be doing lots of pit firing, but this will allow me to play around with functional wear and more importantly not so functional wear. I haven’t make anything in about a year and a half so I’m going to need to remember how to throw first, then I need to learn how to fire this beast. I’ve got some people lined up to help with the first couple of firings. Stay tuned 🖤🤌🏽
