We hold fund raising events leading up to the children's Procession. The Procession goes from Linlithgow Bridge to The Peel at Linlithgow Loch. The crowning of the Gala Day Queen takes place on the stage in the front of Linlithgow Palace with children's entertainment & stalls on The Peel.

📣 Crowner Announcement 📣

The Gala Day Committee are proud to announce that our 2026 Crowner will be Mr David Duncan.

Mr Duncan has devoted over 30 years as Town Crier of Linlithgow as part of Linlithgow Marches & Deacons Court , and has recently retired from his post. We can think of no one more deserving and are delighted to recognise his long-standing contribution to the town.

We thank him for his continued dedication in leading our Gala Day procession each year.

Mr Duncan will be the fourth man in history to crown our Gala Day Queen, a moment made all the more special as he has the honour of crowning his granddaughter - Queen Elect - Miss Sophie Duncan 👑

Huge thanks to everyone who came along — we hope you all had the best time 🥳

A big shout-out to all the amazing local businesses who donated prizes, and to Linlithgow Rose Club for looking after us so well.

And a massive thank you to Glen king singer and Nicky Hayton for jumping in at very short notice to save the day after a morning cancellation. You were both brilliant ❤️👏
