FRIDAY NIGHT NEWS!

Firstly, we would like to say a massive Thank You to all our patrons for your continued patience whilst we have been working to re-arrange the dates of both A NIGHT IN THE WEST END and WEST END JERSEYS at The Blue Room, Lincoln. This has proven to be exceedingly complex and difficult due to the ever-changing guidelines with regards to indoor entertainment venues being issued by the Government, often at very short notice. This ongoing uncertainty has meant that, for the meantime, we have decided to postpone our plans to produce shows indoors at the Blue Room until later in the year.

HOWEVER, our resolve is as strong as ever to bring the magic of London’s West End to the Lawn in some capacity as soon as we can, so with that in mind, we are incredibly excited to share some big news to share with you…

LIVE AT THE LAWN - 23rd & 24th July 2021.

We are delighted to be creatively teaming up with Jamie Marcus Productions, Stokes and The Lawn to bring you a weekend of fantastic OUTDOOR, OPEN AIR entertainment, in the beautiful surroundings of one of Lincoln’s most picturesque venues.

“WEST END JERSEYS” will kick off the weekend in style on Friday 23rd July, and a brand new spectacular production “THE GREATEST SHOWS - A NIGHT AT THE MUSICALS” will transport us all to the West End, Broadway and beyond on Saturday 24th July. Both concerts start at 7:30pm, with grounds open from 6pm. Tickets start from £25.

These spectacular shows will be performed on a brand new, state of the art outdoor stage with stunning outdoor sound and lighting equipment, and feature an all-star line up of some of the finest vocalists London’s West End has to offer.

All existing ticket holders for our previously rescheduled indoor shows in February have been offered automatic transfers to these new dates. If you are unable to/do not wish to attend the events for any reason, full refunds will be issued, upon request. Instructions with how to arrange refunds (if required) are in the most recent update email to ticket holders, sent out earlier this week.

We cannot wait to welcome back audiences to experience LIVE THEATRE in Lincoln once again, and we can’t think of a better way to do so than on a warm summer’s evening, eating strawberries and sipping prosecco, taking in the beautiful grounds of The Lawn. We sincerely hope you will be able to join us, but if Open-Air theatre isn’t for you - fear not! WestEndStarsLincoln will hopefully be returning to our spiritual home (indoors) at The Blue Room, later in the year.

Once again, we thank you all for your patience and understanding during this incredibly uncertain time, and for continuing to SUPPORT THE ARTS in Lincoln and beyond. For without you - our audience - there is no show!

EXCITING NEWS - NEW 2021 DATES!

Due to the implementation of the Government's 3 Tier system to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic, we sadly had to postpone most of our December shows at The Blue Room Lincoln until the new year, and have sadly had to cancel CHRISTMAS AT THE LAWNS, as we're pretty sure not many people would enjoy hearing Christmas songs half way through February!

However, today we are THRILLED to announce we have successfully managed to reschedule our other shows at The Blue Room to the following dates in February 2021...

WEST END JERSEYS - Saturday February 20th 2021 @ 7pm

A NIGHT IN THE WEST END - Friday 26th & Saturday 27th 2021 @ 7pm

All ticket holders have already been contacted in order to arrange transfers of existing bookings and refunds for those unable to make the new performance dates.

We'll also shortly be announcing another show for February 2021 in the next few days, and those more festively-inclined folks among you can rest assured that CHRISTMAS AT THE LAWNS will eventually make its debut in December 2021. Watch this space!!

We thank you for your continued patience, understanding and support during these uncertain times. Live performance and the Arts are fighting back as hard as we can, and the love we have received from our valued audiences since the launch of WestEndStarsLincoln has been overwhelming. We simply cannot wait to take to the stage in February - to quote Starlight Express - there's a light at the end of the tunnel!

IMPORTANT INFO regarding the WEST END JERSEYS.

We're incredibly excited to be kicking off our December season at The Blue Room in style with the WEST END JERSEYS, marking the return of live theatre in Lincoln during these uncertain times.

Due to the current National Lockdown being scheduled to finish on Wednesday 2nd December 2020, in order to allow sufficient time for COVID-secure preparations to be put in place at the venue, we've taken the decision to reschedule our big opening night by 48 hours. The WEST END JERSEYS, originally scheduled to perform on Friday 4th December 2020 at 7pm, has now been rescheduled to Sunday 6th December 2020 at 7pm.

Safety of our audiences, artists and technical staff is paramount, and our full COVID-19 policy can be seen on our website. All ticket holders have been contacted, and all tickets purchased for the original performance on Friday 4th December are automatically valid for the new performance date of Sunday 6th December. We sincerely hope you will still be able to join us for this fantastic night of Live Entertainment. In the event of you not being able to attend the new date, please contact the box office.

There are currently only 6 tickets left for this brilliant show, and we'd hate for you to miss out - so grab them whilst you can!

Introducing the fabulous Alice Croft!

Alice is a 2020 ArtsEd graduate, and despite a turbulent year, it hasn’t stopped her creating theatre. She is the co founder and Artistic Director of The Grad Fest LTD, where the goal is to bridge the daunting gap from performing arts college to the industry. Since May, she has helped to produce an online fringe festival, covid-safe cabarets featuring 2020 musical theatre graduates, and even a musical at The Garden Theatre in Vauxhall.
Alice was to embark on an unannounced Uk tour, but due to current circumstances, it has been postponed to next October.

THE SHOWS MUST GO ON!

As we’re sure most people will have seen, England is set to head into a second national lockdown on Thursday 5th November, until December 2nd 2020.

At present, our December season at The Blue Room Lincoln is currently unaffected and all events are set to go ahead as planned. Safety of our audiences, artists and production teams are our upmost priority, and we already have significant measures and precautions - onstage and off - in place to make our events COVID-SECURE. Our full Covid-19 policy can be found on our website.

We want our audiences to book with confidence. The response so far to our December season at The Blue Room has been overwhelming, with more dates being added due to our original program of events selling out almost instantly. For anyone planning to attend that hasn’t booked yet, we highly recommend getting in there soon before it’s too late, as there are only a handful of tickets left for each event, and we’d hate for anyone to miss out. In the event of government guidelines changing and the lockdown extending forcing an event to be postponed, all ticket holders will be contacted and offered the chance to move their existing booking to the new date. If the new date is not convenient, ticket holders will be offered a FULL REFUND.

If government restrictions require any event to be cancelled completely, FULL REFUNDS will be offered to all ticket holders.

As tough as 2020 has been on all of us, December is the most wonderful time of the year, and we are determined to bring COVID-SECURE live theatre to the people of Lincolnshire in the lead up to Christmas. Having something to look forward to in the near future is vital for our collective mental health, and that’s what we’re hoping our events can provide for our audiences.

Over the next 4 weeks, let’s come together and do everything we can to support each other, protect our NHS, and stay safe.
