💜 Announcement of Jean Stebbing’s Passing.

It is with deep sadness that we share the news that our dear friend and long‑standing member Jean Stebbing has passed away.

Jean was, in every sense, a legend of Lundie Theatre Group — a woman whose presence lit up every rehearsal room, every stage, and every social gathering. She had a gift for storytelling that could hold a room captive, and a sense of humour that lifted spirits even on the longest tech nights. Many of us can still hear her voice delivering a line with that unmistakable sparkle.

Jean gave so much of herself to this group over the years, and her legacy will live on in the countless moments she created both on and off stage. We will miss her deeply, but we will remember her with enormous affection and gratitude.

Our love and thoughts are with her family and all who knew and cherished her.

Take a bow, Jean, you were one of a kind.

🎭✨ Calling all aspiring performers! ✨🎭

We’re thrilled to announce that Lundie Theatre Group will be holding an informal and relaxed read-through for our upcoming production of Beauty and the Beast by Alex Jackson, taking place this November!

Join us for the read-through on the 4th of June at 7:30 PM at Montrave Hall in Lundin Links—no experience needed, just bring your enthusiasm!
Auditions will follow the week after, on Thursday the 11th of June at 7:30 PM, also at Montrave Hall.

We rehearse on Thursday nights and add in Sunday afternoons in the final run up to performance dates which are tbc

If there’s one character who brings a delicious mix of calm, chaos, and quietly simmering tension to Sheila’s Island, it’s Fay — and Wendy Carmichael plays her with absolute brilliance.

Wendy gives Fay that perfect blend of spiritual serenity and “I might snap at any moment” energy that keeps rehearsals buzzing. Her comic timing is razor‑sharp, her stillness speaks volumes, and when Fay finally lets loose… well, you’ll just have to be there.

If there’s one character who brings sharp wit, simmering tension, and those brilliantly barbed one‑liners to Sheila’s Island, it’s Denise — and Jennifer Brown plays her to perfection.

Jennifer captures Denise’s no‑nonsense attitude, her dry humour, and that wonderfully escalating exasperation as the island chaos unfolds. Whether she’s challenging the group, rolling her eyes at the madness, or delivering a line that has everyone in stitches, Jennifer’s performance is packed with energy and bite. You’re going to love watching her unravel… and rally… in equal measure.

🌴 Meet the Cast: Sandie McLauchlan as… Sheila!
If there’s one woman you’d want with you when you’re stranded on a remote island with three colleagues, it’s Sheila — or at least, it would be if she weren’t quite so gloriously frazzled by the whole situation.

Bringing Sheila to life is the brilliant Sandie McLauchlan, whose comic timing, warmth, and wonderfully exasperated expressions have had us laughing through rehearsals. Sandie captures every ounce of Sheila’s determination, disbelief, and “why me?” energy — and trust us, you’re going to adore her.
