Artist has been ensconced in the Manager’s Office during her artist residency at The Co Lab. Pippa’s vivid and kinetic works are a blast of colour and energy and an exploration into societal and historical gender norms - it’s been a joy to allow for space for experimentation!
In Pippa’s own words:
I’ve got so much out of my time as one of the resident artists at the co lab. It’s been great to get out of my tiny art space at home and into the light, bright Manager’s Office!

It’s meant I’ve been able to really focus on adding to my mixed media, ‘Sugar and Spice’ series based on the stories of female criminals through history. I’ve been much more experimental as a result of having the time and space. And have even tried some 3D work, spending joyous hours playing with paper mache!

I’ve loved meeting the other artists too. It’s amazing how chance conversations can spark new ideas.
