A wonderful day of Sea Side themed fun at Thorpe Astley on the Beach including a massive sand pit beach surrounded by deck chairs, a Punch & Judy show, ice creams, hot dogs and traditional games like hook-a-duck. In our area we had Pirates and Sailors delivering a range of arty fun including bubbles of all sizes, spinning plates and ribbon dancing, puppet fun and hands on art activities such as stone rubbing a skull and crossbones flag, a drawing competition - a prize for the best mermaid or pirate and chalk postcard making.
