Good morning and hello to my flurry of new followers, thanks for having that curiosity in metalworking and about foldforming in particular. My name is Emma-Jane Rule and I’m a Contemporary Metalsmith. Here are some images of some of my designs, as you can see I do love to hammer that metal and create some beauty. I’ve been working metal for the last 11 years and it never fails to amaze and impress me and I absolutely love teaching adults how to create that magic themselves. As an added bonus I’ve just qualified as a secondary Design & Technology Teacher, so I get to inspire the younger generation to get using tools and materials, hopefully! I teach foldforming and metalsmithing classes from my workshop in Leicester City, more details of upcoming classes starting Autumn Winter 2026 to come, but for now, let’s enjoy the sun and have some R&R.
