...And He became flesh.....
Bach's 'Et incarnatus est' is a beautiful choral movement within the 'Credo' section of Bach's Mass in B Minor (or, h-Moll-Messe). It precedes the Crucifixus movement - together these will demand your attention with an intense portrayal of aural imagery - chords, volume, blends, smooth, pensive serenity or urgent delivery!
Et incarnatus has been claimed as Bach's last composed 'significant work' (Christoph Wolff) - it certainly is significant, but personal opinion and preference could interpret any or all of Bach's works as the most significant.
What do you consider the most significant movement in his Mass in B Minor, and why?
Come see us on March 28th if you are not sure - EARLY BIRD TICKETS until Feb 28th (ticket price increase March 1st).
If you are already coming to see us, let us know what you are most looking forward to hearing (and why!)

Over 40 years since The Phil brought Bach’s magnificent Mass in B Minor to your ears, rehearsals have now begun for our Spring Concert!

Considered one of the most difficult choral works composed, Bach created this Magnum opus in his later years - we love getting our teeth into a challenge.

Saturday 28th March is the date, the wonderful St James the Greater church is the venue, 7pm is curtain up, early bird tickets until 1st March.

Skip the chocolate eggs and treat your favourite people to another aural feast!
