It’s with profound sadness that my beloved cat, Pib, passed on Tuesday 30th December after a swift and sudden illness
I’ve grown up with cats all my life, a cat dad through and through and 10 years together hasn’t felt long enough. She was named Pib after Puss in Boots because when I decided I wanted to adopt a cat and went to the shelter she looked at me with those big, beautiful eyes and I knew it had to be her, she knew exactly how to tug on my heartstrings
She was always the most affectionate and loving little lady, always around to meet and greet anyone who came to the house, sitting on their laps and making them feel right at home. She was there for me when I lost my dad and would always sit with me in her bed on my desk through all the long, late night editing sessions keeping me company.
I’ll miss your silliness and attempts to be a ninja cat, sneak attacking me on the stairs and stealing my food at every opportunity. I’ll even miss you clawing at me with your deadly murder mittens.
But most of all I’ll miss you as you often were, sleeping on the bed
I’ll love you forever, my pumpkin, my poppet, my Pib
