Dance Mamas are holding their July webinar and workshops with Northern School of Contemporary Dance this SATURDAY 9th JULY!

Here’s what’s on 👇

💻 Webinar, Sun 9th July, 10 - 11am
In conversation with Dance Mama Founder/CEO, Lucy McCrudden, renowned choreographer, Balbir Singh and Co-CEO and Artistic Director of Parents & Carers In Performing Arts Campaign, Anna Ehnold-Danailov, will discuss developments in support for parents in dance in the last few years, challenges currently faced and future solutions. 

💃 Adult’s Workshop, Sun 9th July, 11.15am - 12.30pm
York Dance Space Founders,  Hannah and Drew Wintie-Hawkins lead this creative dance session for parents in dance - in person at NSCD, Leeds and online via Zoom. Both graduates from London Contemporary Dance School Hannah and Drew had extensive performing careers before moving back to Hannah's home town York to create their own independent dance organisation as well as starting their own family.

🦅 Children’s Workshop and Performance, Sun 9th July, 11.15am - 12.30pm
Whilst you get a chance to dance, your children can get their robot on and meet The Greatest Robot Ever, presented by  Hawk Dance Theatre & The Knotted Project. Following this energetic, fun and entertaining dance theatre work made for children, join Choreographer, Josh Hawkins and company dancer, Natalie for an interactive workshop based on the performance.

Opportunities to share, gain knowledge, top tips and how to’s and find out about dance touring for children and young people in the North.

Are you a dance artist, dance teacher working in Scarborough and the surrounding area?
The York and North Yorkshire Dance Network is a sub-regional dance development network in
partnership with Yorkshire Dance. whose purpose is to champion the development of dance across North Yorkshire with a particular focus on children and young people.
Dance It Up North in 2023! The event is a chance to see the many forms of dance being practiced and produced locally, as well as an opportunity to network, be inspired and kick start new activity. In the past it has been a joyous and moving event, enjoyed by children and adults.
Looking to connect with professional artists, community practitioners, schools, youth dance and community groups who would be interested in being part of the event. Either creating dance work to showcase as part of this unique evening or to learn more about the dance development work taking place in Scarborough and the wider region.
