What do you do when your world is spiraling out of control? As the shadow of fascism closes in, will you resist, comply, or look away?

Set in Berlin, 1933, A Bright Room Called Day follows a group of misfits, skirting the fringes of ‘polite’ society, as they are forced to confront the reality of their existence. What lessons will be learnt? What does it take to stand up for your ideals? And how far will each of them go?

A Bright Room Called Day confronts who we are as people, and examines the complexity of our emotions and actions.

The play runs from 17th-20th June at the Carriageworks Theatre, with a special Pay What You Can preview show taking place at All Hallows in Burley on 13th June.

What do you do when your world is spiralling out of control? 🕰️🎭

​Join us for a special Pay What You Can preview show of Tony Kushner's A Bright Room Called Day, presented by the Leeds Arts Centre!

​When: Saturday 13 June, 3:00pm
Where: All Hallows Church, right in the heart of Burley (a stone’s throw from the University and Brudenell Social Club)
​In the spirit of community, we are also running a donation drive for the Rainbow Junktion food bank, which calls All Hallows home. If you are able to, we invite you to bring along donations to hand to the LAC front-of-house staff. They are currently accepting items such as:
​Fresh fruit and vegetables
​Unopened tinned and dry food
​Toiletries like toilet paper and sanitary towels/tampons
