Join us at Levels Live for a community screening of The People’s Emergency Briefing — an eye-opening new film bringing together nine leading UK scientists and experts to share the latest evidence on the climate and nature crisis, and why it matters to all of us.

The film explores themes including:

— Extreme weather
— Food security
— Health
— Cost of living

Based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster — featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times — the film includes appearances from figures including Chris Packham and Deborah Meaden, alongside voices from communities across the UK.

Following the screening, we’ll be joined by Rosie Boycott — journalist, author and campaigner — for a hosted discussion exploring the film’s themes, how the crisis is already shaping everyday life in Britain, and where communities can create meaningful local and national momentum for change.

Most of us know something is changing — in our weather, food systems and communities — but very few of us have ever been fully briefed on what the climate and nature emergency could actually mean for life here in the UK.

The People’s Emergency Briefing is a powerful new film from the National Emergency Briefing exploring the risks we face — and the practical, hopeful responses already emerging across the country.

Gardens That Can Save the World — Author talk with Lottie Delamain

🌱All Saints Church
🌱Thursday 30th April
🌱Doors 6.30pm, talk starts 7pm

Levels Live is delighted to welcome garden designer and author Lottie Delamain for an evening talk based on her book, Gardens That Can Save the World.

Travelling through 65 gardens across the globe — from small back plots to larger landscapes — her work explores how green spaces can respond to the challenges we’re all facing.

As it’s been described, it’s “a clarion call… and a celebration of how green spaces can transform both people and the planet.”

From biodiversity to wellbeing, the message is simple: gardens, however small, can quietly do good.

In the UK alone, private gardens cover around 4,300 square miles — more than all our nature reserves combined. A huge opportunity for change.

This will be an evening of ideas, stories and practical inspiration — whether you have a window box or acres.

🎟 Tickets: £12 or 2 for £20

Gardens That Can Save the World by Lottie Delamain

30th April 6.30pm | Levels Live | All Saints’ Langport

We’re so looking forward to welcoming Lottie Delamain to Levels Live for an evening of conversation around her new book Gardens That Can Save the World.

Lottie set out to explore gardens that go beyond the ornamental — places that nourish, restore, and offer something genuinely useful in the world. From small plots to more ambitious spaces, the thread running through them is simple: they make you think I could do this too.

It’s thoughtful but grounded — full of ideas that feel possible and promising to an evening that’s thought provoking and hopeful.

“A quietly powerful case for the garden as a force for change.” — Financial Times

Join us for the talk, Q&A and book signing.
