DO YOU KNOW ANY BUDDING YOUNG WRITERS (13-18)?
Please pass on the word about Storylands Sessions fun and welcoming workshops led by educator and poet Karen Hodgson Price, inviting young people to spark stories from unusual objects and places around the Highland Folk Museum, Kingussie.

YOUNG WRITERS WORKSHOPS✍🏻🎨🎭

🟨 Thurs 4th JUNE 5pm - 6pm, Highland Folk Museum, Kingussie
🟨 Theme: TIME
🟨 Open to anyone aged 13 - 18, no writing experience needed.
🟨 Relaxed fun and welcoming.

Calling young writers, storytellers, and curious imaginations – or anyone who’d like to give writing a try.

Our theme for June will be ‘Time’ – what might you write about a cracked clock face, a faded diary of work tasks and moon phases, an ancient sun dial - everyday objects that might hold hidden stories, or new stories to be told. Anything is possible from stories, poems, comedy, drama, fantasy, or something completely unexpected. Let your imagination take flight! ✨💡

ONLINE WRITING WORKSHOP 🕰️⏳✍🏻

💻 WEDNESDAY 3rd JUNE
🔷 7 – 9pm, ONLINE WORKSHOPS FOR ADULTS (AGE 16+)
TIME: Inspired by clocks; archives; seasonal change; from the cradle to the grave; 'deep time'; tree rings.

From wherever you are in the world, let everyday objects from the Highland Folk Museum spark your imagination to create stories, poems and imaginative writing in a relaxed ONLINE workshop with poet Karen Hodgson-Pryce.

Each month, our online writing workshops begin with a handful of objects - fragments of lives once lived - and from there your writing can go anywhere. Stories, poems, memoir, humour, imagination, drama, reflections on place or completely unexpected journeys...the objects are simply doorways into creativity.

Let them transport you somewhere new or far back in time and space - wherever your creative spirit leads you.

Each workshop is standalone and anyone anywhere can join - we've been joined by writers from as far as Australia and Canada as well as those closer to home. Whether you’ve attended before or are curious to try creative writing for the first time, you’ll be very welcome. Visit the link in comments to find out more and book your place.
