Well-Being Advocate Her poetry, known for its raw emotion and honesty, explores vulnerability and resilience, resonating deeply with readers and audiences. Amanda’s work offers comfort and inspiration to many, making them feel

seen and understood. Amanda has performed at various events and festivals: the Festival of Love; Scunthorpe Pride; No Limits Festival; and Ripon Poetry Festival. Her poetry has been featured in a number of magazines, collections and anthologies, including: The Script Magazine; the High Wolds Poetry Anthologies; the Dark Poet's Society; LiveWire Poetry and Online Anthologies. More recently, her poetry has been included in: “The Written Woman Anthology” (2025); and, “Write to Be Heard” (2025). The latter was published by Pebble Press, written for and by survivors of coercive control and/or post-separation abuse working with 'Mums In Need'. In addition, Amanda has published two poetry books of her own. The most recent is “The Emboldened Heart”, published in January 2026. Her debut collection ''Heart on her Sleeve'' was published in January 2024. Both books have been published by Enigma Press Partnership Publishing (www.partnershippublishing.co.uk)

She first performed at Yada Yada, The Confessional, Speak Out Scunny, North Speaks, Away with Words and continues to perform her poetry across the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire region. Amanda, also, works with local libraries running poetry events and workshops collaborating with local musicians, other writers and poets. She does not follow any rules and lets her creativity shape her work. Her poetry is bold and edgy and is a reflection of her own mind and heart. She loves both performing her work and hosting events. She always encourages others to write as a way to express themselves and share their feelings. She believes writing your emotions down and saying how you feel on paper is cathartic and has helped her through many difficult times. She is the living embodiment of her own philosophy of: “Never stop believing in yourself - it's all down to you!”

If you would like to book a poetry event/workshop, mental wellbeing facilitator or are in need of a host; Amanda is your friendly, warm and energetic answer! She is available most Fridays and alternate Weekends. Other dates and times are available with prior booking. Please send your requests to her directly, to find out about her availability.

The summer school holidays are in full flow, a welcome break to many, in part, no one can cover this stint unless you are a teacher yourself.

This year it's 7 weeks of childcare cover in amongst annual leave; as we know some parents get very little annual leave, some with more generous allowance if they are lucky, but then it still needs to be spread across all the school holidays in the year.

It's hard to begin with isn't it, just imagine though, you are trying to manage this with an abuser pre or/and separation...the challenges remain especailly if children are school aged.

In addition to this there may financial struggles, health issues, special educational needs, sleep deprivation, neurodiversity, employment concerns, the list is obviously endless...

It's not a competition, children are not trophies

Protect their hearts & minds

Our greatest fear is the loss of our children through alienation, this poem goes out to all those going through suffering of the never ending cycle of parenting - school holidays can be an incredibly tricky and tormenting time.

Access to Writing

Ashby Community Hub: Friday 4 September 2-4pm

Popular poet and performer Amanda Crundall returns to North Lincolnshire in September for a late summer/early autumn workshop.

Amanda's 'Access to writing' workshop was a great success when she ran it earlier in the year. Whether you attended last time, or are completely new to this workshop, all are welcome, as each workshop is different and new creative ideas emerge each time.

The workshop includes creative writing and poetry workshop activities, poetry reading and open mic. There will also be an opportunity to take to the floor yourself and share your own poetry or prose. Please note this is not compulsory and you are very welcome just to sit and enjoy everyone else’s poetry.

Amanda has recently published her second poetry collection ' The Emboldened Heart' and will also read some of her own poems.

Please contact us at [email protected] to be added to the attendee list.

For participants aged 16+
