A little Friday round-up from the studio 🧡
I finished the moulds for my new tortoise sculpture, Reginald 🐢 and made two lost wax patterns of him — and I have to say, I’m really chuffed with how he’s looking so far. There’s something so satisfying about seeing a sculpture move into the next stage of the bronze process.
I’ve also been finishing a little pebbles sculpture who@has headed off to his forever home 🏡 with bits of welding, chasing, patination, final checks and boxing all ticked off this week.
Alongside that, I did quick working drawing for a client to go with his meerkat sculpture … and squeezed in a little more sculpting on my red panda, and of course had some very important tea break cuddles with the puppy dogs aka. studio assistants, emotional support team, and occasional distraction all in one.
A busy week, but a good one. I’m hoping to share more of these little round-ups every Friday so you can see more of what goes into each piece behind the scenes 🧡
