Songs of peace and love. In this crazy world can anyone find a song of peace or love to share at Folk Around the World this coming Wednesday.
The usual invitation. Anyone, from any part of the world, that has settled in or around Thetford is welcome to sing in their native tongue. Not songs of conquest, victory over enemies please but any song of love, joy or peace is welcome. Can you demonstrate national dance, play a traditional instrument or sing folk songs, lullabies, nursery rhymes etc. Join us at The Bell, Thetford IP24 2AZ
Meet at 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start.

Looking for people from across the world that have made Thetford and the surrounding towns and villages their home. Be great to meet you at Folk Around the World this Wednesday to hear you sing in your native tongue lullabies, folk songs, children's nursery songs etc. or to recite poetry or play some traditional tunes.
Meet in the Sergeant Wilson Room at The Bell, Thetford on 19th July from about 7.15pm. Free to attend and no need to book.
Evening ends at 10.00pm~

Looking forward to our tenth Folk Around the World. Hoping to hear shanties, jigs, reels, polkas, a wide variety of languages, and perhaps a hammered dulcimer, hurdy-gurdy or celtic/gaelic harp.
