🌡️ Important Update: Magpie Craft Fair Cancelled

With temperatures forecast to reach dangerously high levels this Saturday, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Magpie Craft Fair.

This is not a decision we have taken lightly, but the safety and wellbeing of our volunteers, stallholders, helpers and the wider community must come first. Extreme heat presents significant risks, particularly for vulnerable participants, and we cannot safely run the event under these conditions.

We are currently in the process of contacting all stallholders directly. If there is an opportunity to move the event to an alternative date, we will explore all available options.

Please keep an eye on our social media channels for any future arrangements and updates.

We know many people were looking forward to the day and we sincerely appreciate your understanding and continued support of the centre.

All the fun and laughter 😃 happens at Briar House Care Home and last time was no different.

We all had great fun. I didn't come completely prepared, so Carol (one of their volunteers) helped in cutting out ✂️ the flowers from egg cartons 😆

The residents enjoyed crafting flower bouquets and they look fantastic. Great work everyone 👏

We did some fun crafts, at Hickathrift House Care Home - Barchester Healthcare last week.

The residents enjoyed doing some paint and decoupage on wooden crowns 👑 which we made into bunting. The bunting looks great!

Doing creative arts and crafts can be very therapeutic and a lot of fun, bringing people together.
