We had our first ever AFO Highland Games today - thanks to our seniors and Fiona for organising the event. Everyone had a great time tossing the caber, haggis hurling, welly wanging and finishing with a grand fling!!!

We always enjoy a wee trip on a ferry with AFO and this afternoon it was wonderful to be back in Millport, Isle of Cumbrae, with our senior players performing to a packed Cathedral of the Isles. Enjoy this short clip of ‘The Ferry’ from our concert 🎶

So proud of Logan, one of our cellists 🎶😍🎶

🎼👑 A VERY SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENT! 👑🎼

We are incredibly proud to congratulate Logan McLurkin on a truly memorable achievement today.

Logan had the incredible honour of performing his own composition, ‘Dumfries House: A Decade of Music’, for His Majesty The King at New Cumnock Town Hall, as part of celebrations marking the 10-year anniversary of The King’s Foundation at Dumfries House.

Following his performance, Logan was personally congratulated by The King and had the opportunity to meet a number of distinguished guests, including Sir Tom Hunter, Sir James MacMillan, founder of The Cumnock Tryst, and internationally renowned film composer Patrick Doyle, whose work includes the score for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

To compose an original piece of music and perform it on such a prestigious occasion is a fantastic achievement and a very special moment for Logan.

👏🎶 Congratulations, Logan! We are exceptionally proud of you and all that you have achieved. 🎶👏

A wonderful day and one we’re sure Logan will remember for many years to come! 💙💛
