Keswick Alhambra Cinema is one of the oldest, continuously-running cinemas in the UK. We've been screening films since we opened 1914, throughout both World Wars, stopped in our tracks only by Covid-19 in 2020 and 2021. During the closure we took the opportunity to complete the restoration of the cinema, and added a second studio sized screen, together with the latest Dolby sound and digital laser
projector, enabling us to show a significantly wider range of films with appeal to all ages. Independent and family owned and run, we aim to to give you a great experience in a gorgeous setting. We offer a choice of the latest blockbusters, together with niche and arthouse films, and a full range of live broadcasts from the National Theatre, West End shows, Royal Opera and Ballet and the Met Opera from New York.
