The latest issue of LICAF’s free magazine takes us on a journey through comics from Ireland, Belgium and Russia, alongside a special exploration of poetry and sequential art.

Think you know comics? Think again.

Not That Into Comics is a playful, interactive exhibition by French illustrator Serge Bloch and writer and curator Mathieu Diez, taking over Kendal with 2D, 3D and augmented reality artwork, interactive sculptures, street banners and more.

And yes, it’s supposed to be a little bit cheeky. 👀

🔥 Comics belong in the classroom!
Have you seen our case study on the Comic Book UK website? The case study explores how our Comics in the Classroom programme is using comics to transform literacy, creativity and engagement across schools.

From hands-on workshops and artist visits to work with primary and SEND schools, the programme is helping more young people discover the confidence to become both readers and creators.

As part of our work towards making Barrow-in-Furness the UK’s first Comic Book Town, we’ve already reached 100+ pupils across local schools.
