So I’m in the garden putting away lights and I hear the news about the Adventure Therapy Shop in the high street being broken in to here is what they have to say :
What was set to be out first day of opening this year, we were saddened to see that the Adventure Therapy Charity Shop was broken in to last night.
Our till system was stolen. Fortunately, part of it has been found - and thank you to the person who returned this to us. We are, as you would expect, insured, but it is not realistic for us to claim. We will also lose vital income as we are unable to open, presently.
The electronic till drawer and printer are missing and we would be grateful if anyone should find these disposed of, contacting us, please - 01271 865285 or [email protected].
As a charity, founded and based in Ilfracombe, supporting people in the community who lead challenging and complex lives, it was disappointing to start the year this way.
However, Ilfracombe has a wonderful community spirit and we are grateful for your encouraging messages of support. We are also thankful to everyone who has kindly donated to our cause, in response to this - it makes such a difference. www.adventuretherapy.org.uk/donate
Lucky for me my just giving page is still up and running so any donations and support towards them will be much appreciated
