Situated in the heart of Ilford town centre, just 2 minutes walk from the Ilford Rail Station, Redbridge Buddhist Vihara welcomes devotees from all walks of life. The Vihara, known as the Redbridge Buddhist Cultural Centre is a registered charity. Vihara is managed under the honourable leadership of Venarable Pethgamuwa Hemarathana. There are many events throughout the year which are educational and religious, paving the way to a meritorious life.

🎉 Sinhala & Tamil New Year Festival 2026 🎉

Join us for a vibrant celebration of culture, community, and tradition at the Sinhala and Tamil New Year Festival, organised by the Redbridge Buddhist Cultural Centre.

🗓 Date: Saturday 25 April 2026
📍 Location: Woodbridge High School, St Barnabas Rd, Woodford Green, IG8 7DQ

🕙 Event Schedule:
• New Year games: 10:00am – 1:30pm
• Cultural show: 2:30pm – 8:00pm
🎭 What to expect:
• Traditional New Year games
• Variety of Sri Lankan foods are available to buy at the venue (Game Kade)

• Music and dance
