It was lovely to catch up with Kath and Poppy from Fettle Animation on Wednesday to chat through social media strategy along with some helpful cake analogies!๐ฐ
We very much look forward to working with them further and seeing what they get up to on their social media.

Lovely to meet up with the team at Fettle Animation this morning. Janet passed on a few social media hints and tips.
We'll also be working with them and their Digital Marketing intern, Poppy over the coming months. Like many businesses they have lots to talk about on social media but don't always get the time to share their news.
We'll be helping Poppy with content ideas and best practice through a support package from us.
Great to see Fettle Animation embracing Instagram too. They're going to be amazing on there.

Ahead of Refugee Week next month, we're reflecting on previous programming at the heart of the festival.
In 2019, we commissioned Fettle Animation to create an animation around that year's theme of: You, Me and Those Who Came Before.
Poet Julian Jordan wrote the poem featured in the video, and musician Haymanot Tesfa, who performed at the V&A as part of the festival that year, gave permission to use her version of Ethiopian traditional song โAmbasselโ.

PROJECT # 22: LYLA AND MAXโS GARDEN
In this production by Fettle Animation (U.K.) the twins Lyla and Max spend an idyllic summer playing on their grandparentโs allotment. Whilst their grandparents quietly watch from the potting shed, the twins learn to have fun whatever the weather. They find out about how things grow, how to reuse and recycle, and taste delicious fruits and vegetables.
They also get to know new animal friends, birds, worms and friendly insects. Lyla and Max encounter a cheerful robin who regularly pops in for a chat, Will and his family of wriggly worms who look after the soil and Sheila, the naughty sheep who keeps trying to steal their vegetables! In each episode, the twins play and have fun whilst learning something new about where food comes from, nature and looking after our planet.
A fun and engaging eco-tainment series for preschoolers, encouraging children to play outdoors and be interested in where their food comes from, made in charming hand-drawn 2D animation by Zane Whittingham (director, head of animation). โThe series features Afro-Carribean children with authentic voices and a host of charming and comedic animal characters. We have already secured funding for the research, concept development and writing workโ, says producer Kath Shackleton.
