We've had a great response to our Art Exchange fundraiser, a big thank you to everyone who created, donated or bought from the exhibition so far.

Thanks to everyone who created, donated or bought from the Art Exchange exhibition last weekend. We're open again tomorrow between 10am to 3pm if you want to come along and get involved.
Join in and donate £5 to create your own artwork at Enjoy Art for this special exhibition! If you're not feeling particularly creative, you can still get involved by buying any of the artworks on display for only £5. Throughout the month the exhibition will continually change, with new artworks coming and going.
100% of the money raised will go to the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Appeal.
This week we launched Art Exchange, a fundraiser to support the DEC Appeal to help with the humanitarian effort in Ukraine.
During March donate £5 and create your own artwork in the gallery (of anything you want) which will go straight into the exhibition! If you don't want to create a picture yourself, you can buy any of the artworks on display for only £5. The idea is that the exhibition will continually change throughout the month, with new artworks coming and (hopefully) going.
There will be a mixture of artworks on display from professional and amateur artists, young and old. We encourage everyone to have a go and be part of the exhibition!
100% of the money raised will go to the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Appeal.

Our card of the day has to be this amazing linocut print by Ethel Spowers, 'Wet Afternoon'. The original artwork was printed from four blocks on thin ivory laid tisse. Ethel was an Australian artist associated with the Grosvenor School of Modern Art in London in the 1930s.
Her linocuts attracted critical attention for their bold, simplified forms, rhythmic sense of movement, distinctive use of colour and humorous observation of everyday life, particularly the world of children.
Another selection of beautiful artwork from our print sale, which is on for one more week... if you're braving the weather tomorrow we'll be open 10am-3pm.
Our current print sale exhibition has something for everyone. There are plenty of hidden gems waiting to find new homes, from etching and screenprints to experimental mono prints and collagraphs.
Our new exhibition this month is a print sale featuring original prints from the INKERS, a group of contemporary printmakers based in West Yorkshire. They have dug out and dusted off an impressive selection of work and found a treasure trove of older, experimental or long forgotten prints. This exhibition showcases the full breadth and depth of original printmaking methods employed by the group, and with prices from £10 to £100 you can be sure to find a real bargain!

Pauline Meade has delivered a collection of stunning new linoprints at the gallery, including Story of One Year. This large print comprises 42 individual scenes that she completed over 12 months. There's lovely little details capturing wildlife and nature that she encountered on her walks during lockdown last year.
Even dull days like today can inspire artists... these beautiful paintings by Matt Turner capture the ever-changing weather, vast open landscape or a long-forgotten building nestled within it. Matt's paintings have often been compared to works by Peter Brook, the renowned Pennine artist. For Matt, he was a huge inspiration, the way he documented this unique landscape so honestly in every painting he did.
You can a selection of Matt's paintings in our Autumn Exhibition, alongside some fantastic original artwork and gifts from Yorkshire-based artists and makers.
We're pleased to welcome Richard Littlewood to the gallery. Richard has been steadily photographing the South Pennine landscape for the last 40 years. His remarkable images shine a light on the uniqueness and flavour of the Pennines as a special place.
We don't often show portraits at Enjoy Art, so it's always a treat to see them in. Even more so when they are the incredible mixed media paintings from Bren Head. Bren uses a variety of media including acrylic, oil, wax, plaster, textiles and collage to explore texture and surface. You can see these stunning pieces this month in our current Autumn Exhibition.

We're open today until 3pm as part of the Holmfirth Artweek Fringe Trail, which finishes this Saturday. 25+ venues and groups around the Holme Valley and Colne Valley areas will be displaying and selling the work of local artists, helping to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and local charities.
