Teamwork
Dancing is a small part of attending a dance class, it's about creating a safe space for each child. Our school is a second home for my families, a place where children and parents want to spend time together, to feel relaxed and happy and feel part of something special. Silk is a part of the local community, joining in and arranging local events to give back as much as we possibly can.

The beloved musical Newsies is finally making its way to London, it has been confirmed.
The new production is set to play London this year, with more info to follow.

Set in turn-of-the century New York City, Newsies is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a band of teenaged “newsies.” When titans of publishing raise distribution prices at the newsboys’ expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what’s right!

The one thing we can assure you is that your children will have a sense of normality and stability when it comes to Silk.
As always we have the plan in place and as of tomorrow we will be moving to Silk online.
We have so much planned from Circus skill classes, Acro workshops and West End masterclasses. As well as our planned exam work, choreography competitions judged by our very own dances and our new weekly leaderboard where all children will compete for the chance to spin the wheel of prizes!
See you there!

It's New Years day so what better moment to celebrate the success of Silk School of Dance. The success is shared with all our Silk families, we danced in the studio, we danced in the kitchen, we moved our furniture and hid our jumble behind the camera 😉. But most importantly, we danced, we laughed, we sang, we danced some more and we never gave up.
