His early musical experience was a trumpeter, but he quickly moved onto the Bass guitar and later, Double Bass, cajon and guitar. His professional performing career began at aged 15, performing with a youth Jazz Quartet at Sadler’s Wells Theatre alongside Jazz Dance, Music and Theatre company BOP. Throughout his teens, Sam honed his skills playing many genres of music in countless projects both in

the studio and live (Inner City Dwellers, Jay Phelps, Jo Caleb, Jenn Bostic). Since graduating from The Academy of Contemporary Music in 2010 with First Class Honours, Sam has written and released a Jazz album and has become an active member of the UK music scene in demand as both an acoustic and electric bass player, touring and performing around the UK as well as internationally. Performed @: Dorking Halls, the Dorchester Hotel, Sadlers Wells Theatres. Worked with the BBC. Festivals: Sonisphere 2010, Glastonbudget 2010 and Boogie Brain Festival 2009 in Poland.
