Horncastle Horse Fair 2026 may have trotted off for another year, but just over a week on we’re sharing a short film that bottles a bit of its charm. We chatted to some of the brilliant folks involved and asked them what makes the Horse Fair so special 🐴

What a glorious day at the Horse Fair! 🐴☀️

It was certainly the hottest one yet, but what a day it’s been! A huge thank you to all of our brilliant performers, makers, artists, volunteers and everyone who came along and made it so special.

We hope all of our performers and horses are now enjoying a very well-earned rest!

Meet SessionsArts Simon as he transforms into Isaac Newton for the day, enjoy storytelling with Amy Wilson, cool down at Ritchie's Vintage Ice Cream Bike and discover even more surprises as you explore the whole programme.

The day gets off to a brilliant start with two fantastic events:

✨ 9am–10am – Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School parkrun with Rhubarb Theatre

✨ 9am–12.30pm– Bikers & Riders Breakfast at Methodist Church

Week 3-9 Aug... what's in store.???

Monday - Tattershall Farm Park with Monkey Puzzle at 11am
Tues - Newark Beach for drop in craft - air dry clay sea creatures from 11-3pm
Weds & Friday - Fydell House, Boston, creating crime illustrations for our Murder Mystery. Drop in sessions from 10:30-2:30
Sat - Horncastle Horse Fair, horsing around all day
Sun - back at Newark Beach for some silly 'Rainbow Sailor' walkabout characters
