Holmfirth Turn Again Theatre Turn Again Theatre is a well-established, high-standard amateur dramatic group. We put on 3 productions each year at Holmfirth Civic Centre.

In the last years we've had fabulous reviews for Bouncers and Shakers, Fawlty Towers, Blackadder and Animal Farm with sell outs for many of our shows. There were a few complaints about Pride & Prejudice in October 2010, mind you - but only because all nights were fully booked by the week before the show and so many people were disappointed! As well as our annual Panto, in recent years we've also p

erformed well-loved and well-known productions: Talking Heads, Much Ado About Nothing, Fawlty Towers 1 and 2, Agatha Christie's The Hollow, Dad’s Army but also the more challenging or off-the-wall plays: Animal Farm, A Day in the Death of Joe Egg and Misery.

To kick things off, we’ll be holding our usual read-through audition on Thursday 28th May, from 7–9pm at The Civic, Holmfirth.

We know it’s a little short notice, so if you’re interested but already have plans that evening, please get in touch and we’ll arrange an alternative time for you to meet with the director.

Right… you’ve seen what we can do on stage 👀

We’re challenging YOU to recreate a character from one of our past shows using whatever you can find at home 😅

Think:

🕵️ A Murder is Announced… but make it low budget

🌿 Secret Garden… but it’s just your back garden

🐦 Kes… we’ll accept a very questionable bird attempt

👑 Snow White or 🌱 Jack and the Beanstalk… the more ridiculous the better

🌟 Fancy getting involved in local theatre? 🌟

Holmfirth Turn Again Theatre is on the lookout for new faces to join our brilliant group!

Love performing? We’re always keen to hear from singers, dancers and actors. Prefer working behind the curtain? We also need creative minds for costumes, set building, props, backstage and more.

We put on three shows a year – two plays and a pantomime (oh yes we do! 😄) – and there’s plenty of opportunity to get stuck in, learn new skills, and have a great time along the way.
