As we reflect on the Festival of Trees at the end of last year, we want to say some huge and heartfelt thankyous to everyone who made it such a special event. ๐
๐ To all the community groups, businesses and individuals who decorated and displayed such beautifully themed trees.
๐ To all our performers who filled the space with music, dance and festive spirit.
๐ To our stallholders who brought creativity, colour and community.
๐ To our incredible volunteers who gave their time, energy and welcoming smiles.
And to every member of the public who came along to support, shop, watch and celebrate, thank you. The event simply would not have happened without you and we were so delighted with the response from the community.
As part of the event, we chose a local charity to support, and we are absolutely delighted to be presenting around ยฃ1,500 to 1st Step Falkirk Pantry and Baby Bank. Knowing that the festival has made a real difference locally makes it even more meaningful.
The committee met last week to review the event, reflect on what worked well and explore how we can build on its success. We are excited to share that we will now be setting up a formally constituted group to begin planning for this yearโs Festival of Trees and to help it grow even further.
A big thankyou to our funders Falkirk Council Community Empowerment Grants funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and to our community partners, Project Theatre Performing Arts and Blooming Bairns, for their support from assisting with administration and the funding, to stepping in at short notice to help secure alternative venue when our original space fell through and the The Howgate Shopping Centre, Falkirk for helping provide the unit at the last minute.
A special thank you to our key partners, Falkirk Delivers, who helped bring everyone together to start the project, for all their guidance, practical and financial support which we couldn't have done without and for providing a fabulous High Tea last week as a small thank you to our dedicated committee of local volunteers who worked so hard behind the scenes for so many months. It was a lovely way to recognise the teamwork and commitment that made the event possible.
Hereโs to an even bigger and brighter Festival of Trees 2026 ๐โจ
