Medway Lens is a 5-week celebration of photography, film and video, showcasing creative talent from across Medway.

We are inviting submissions from anyone working in photography, film or video — from beginners and hobbyists to students, academics and professionals.

Whether you're experimenting, building your portfolio, or already established, this is an opportunity to share your work, connect with others, and be part of a public-facing exhibition and creative programme.

POP AT THE PIER
Nucleus Artists at Sun Pier House

Last year hosted studio artists in for exhibition ‘Pier at the Pop’ while their venue underwent some exciting renovations.
Now it’s Nucleus Artists and Creative Associates turn to pop up at The Riverside Gallery in this reciprocal showcase of artwork.

Sun Pier House and Nucleus Arts are both organisations committed to celebrating their artists.

Congratulations Suzanne West on being shortlisted for the Summer Exhibition 2026 with mixed media painting Rock Pool, inspired by Newry beach, Holyhead, Anglesey. Fingers crossed she makes the next round!

Suzanne is a resident artist working from Studio 6 at the Halpern Conservancy Building in Rochester.

This week Michi Masumi of The Black Art Hub is running FREE Sip & Paint Medway's Menopause Wellbeing Sessions.

The sessions offer a relaxed space to paint, connect, and unwind, with healthy smoothies and no creative experience required.
Booking is essential and spaces are limited, so please book early to avoid missing out.

Life drawing at Nucleus Arts to bring creatives together, organised by resident artist of
The untutored sessions are giving the opportunity to try different mediums and techniques to improve observation, cognitive and drawing skills. There are no limitations and anyone can join, if you are new to life drawing or a professional, all are welcome, it is good to try something new!
They plan to host sessions once a month with a range of models, bringing you unique expressive poses each time, challnging your skills and learning new ways to form and create. Materials provided, but feel free to bring your own if you wish.
Good vibes and music whilst drawing.

Painting the coast is integral to Ann's practice. Recent works are inspired by a visit to St Ives in October last year, where the dramatic winds and seas informed new wave and coastal paintings, as well as her signature abstract seascapes.
