Last year, during 2025, we were approached by David Viniter when we waiting to compete at the Yorkshire Brass Championships; a couple of players were asked to be photographed as part of of a book he was compiling

I’m really excited to share the news about my new book -1°50 WEST : a photographic journey tracing a single line of longitude the entire length of England.

Once again, thank you so much for being a part of this project. I have finished making photographs, have edited the work down to 80 images and am working with a designer to make the final publication.

To bring it to life, I’ve launched a crowdfunding Kickstarter to raise funds to print the book. For those of you not familiar with crowdfunding or Kickstarter, a little explanation. Kickstarter is a way for artists to make pre-sales of a book so that they can raise the funds to go ahead with printing and distribution. It is an all or nothing platform. That means if I hit the goal needed in 26 days time, the pledges go through and the book can be taken to print in the Autumn. If I don’t reach my goal, nobody will be charged and the publication doesn’t happen.

Over the past four years, I've poured every spare moment into this project and it's been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I feel lucky to have met so many wonderful people, to explore new parts of England, and be been welcomed in at every turn.
