Cosmic Frequencies Festival

16/08/2026

Cosmic Frequencies Festival 2026 is over and the cosmic dust has settled what a wonderful 3 days we had. Right now we are small, but we believe we have a unique and special Festival, one we plan to grow to make Hexham known for being a space town as well as an arts town.

Having had to overcome some challenges, there were so many high points but particularly the great Cosmic Conversations on Saturday, some interesting presentations on space, science, artists in space, UFO'S and more. Thank you to all our contributors and speakers.

Our Cosmic Cinema sessions were brilliant as was the fantastic art installation at the Moot Hall by the Sensing Remoteness team from Northumbria University. Also wonderful were the community space related activities at Hexham Community Centre provided by Stagefright CIC.

We had a great show by S.K.X Funkanauts supported by Gambian singer Mota and DJ Active from Nigeria at The Tannery, which was bouncing and as ever Connor and his team were great.

We had people attending from across the region, Scotland and even from France who flew in especially for the weekend. It is the people who attend that make it and the questions and contributions from audiences were insightful and interesting.

It is with your support we are able to do this, so thank you and we hope you will return in 2027 to help us make Hexham and the Festival THE place to come for 3 days of cosmic space related science, SETI, UFO'S, Sci-fi, music, film and art.

Finally, an additional important thank you to the team at The Forum Cinema Hexham, Kielder Observatory, and Hexham Town Council and volunteers for their support. Apologies if we have missed anyone. Now some reest before we start planning for 2027 with we hope more to offer.

Keep looking up to stars in awe and wonder.

The Cosmic Frequencies Festival Team.
